Where it started

Racing Was Always The Plan.

“When the first pair went down the track, I knew.”Jason Wieck • Driver / JWR Founder

Jason’s love of drag racing began at age five, when his father took him to his first race. The speed, sound and competition made an immediate impression—and the goal of owning and driving a dragster never left.

Motorsports were already part of the family. Jason’s uncle, Jerry Estep, competed in Top Gas during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1970, his car won Top Gas with Jack Jones driving—the racer who served as the model for the iconic NHRA Wally trophy.

Years of crewing, learning the business side of racing and developing the discipline required to compete ultimately became the foundation of Jason Wieck Racing LLC.
